Class 1A

Tomorrow I am taking on two kids! I am excited to see if I can actually complete both of them. All my peers tell me I can...I hope they aren't throwing me to the fire! HAHA Hopefully I can also get a PANO and Sealants out of one of them! After I complete these kids, I will be done with my 1A requirements. I really need a Class 3 patient though...I hope I will be able to find one!

Argh!

What a day I had on Monday! First of all, my scheduled patient did not show up. Luckily, I contacted a couple that wanted to come in. One of these patients went to Jamey, but mine decided that he didn't want a cleaning appt. afterall! Then, out of no where, a lady heard me talking to Lily about my predicament and she volunteered to be my patient. WOW! So, although it started out to be a bad start to Clinic, I ended up getting a patient in my chair. I could only spend an hour with her so I didn't complete much. But, she does have one quad of a Class 2 and 3 quads of a Class 1B.

1A

Last clinic, I had my first 1A patient. She was a 10 year-old girl and she was very cooperative. I was able to complete a Pano, an exam, and a sealant. So, it was a productive day!

Clinic Assistant

Today I was a Clinic Assistant. It went well and it was nice to have a break from patients. However, I would have liked to use this day to have a patient. Next clinic we are learning how to use the ultrasonic. The clinic after that is President's Day. So, I won't see a patient again until Feb. 21.

Mom is Done

Today I completed my Mom. She was a 1B and I just did a full mouth scale, sel pol, df, and NaF. It went really well and I am happy to have completed four more quadrants. I also was able to complete 2 PE's today (anterior and universal instrumentation). Next clinic, I should have a 1A pt so that will be something new for me!
