First 1B Exam

Today I completed my first exam on a 1B. I took about 30 minutes, but my instructor only found one click of calculus. Very exciting! So, I now have 4 more quads out of the way and one exam completed. Horray! My next clinic day I am finishing my mom so I am excited for that. Too bad she is just a 1B (well....good for her, not so great for me)!! I hope to pass off my Anterior and Universal Instrumentation PE's next clinic.

My Class 2

The other day I worked on my father-in-law. He is a Class 2 and I was able to scale all 4 quads, sel pol, and Fl. I hope to one day get the whole process completed in one appt. but, I am just happy to have him done. I now have 8 quads done total. 4 for a class 5 and 4 for a class 2. Yeah! I have also been keeping up on my PE's and have completed 5 so far. My Dad is coming next week for the first time and it would be really nice to complete him in one appt....here's hopin'

Gettin' Some Quads

Today I finished working on my mother-in-law. She is a Class 5 and this was her second appt. I completed scaling all 4 quads, sel pol, and Fl. Overall, it was a good experience today. I actually feel really confident with scaling. My instructor only found 2 surfaces where I missed. I think that's pretty good! What I don't like is taking radiographs!

First Day Back

Today was our first day back from Christmas Break! We worked with our Gracey's today and it was pretty fun. My practice patient was not periodontally involved though so I don't believe I used the instrument to its fullest. We see our first patient of this semester on Wednesday...my father-in-law is coming! My goal for Wednesday is to get atleast one quadrant of scaling done.
